“ So many good things to say about this place! We were able to get a table with no wait and next to the beach at 5 pm on a Friday. The vibes were perfect from the moment we sat down, but you cant expect less from the Royal Hawaiian. We came as our last meal on our honeymoon trip and planned to rack up a tab, we enjoyed everything. Started with the Royal Hawaiian mai tai and the 44 mai tai. Both amazing, ended up getting one more each. For an app we ordered the cheese platter, the brie and gouda were our favorites! Paired perfectly with the bread, fruit, and honey. For dinner we got the steak and the ragu, needless to say we were both very happy with our choice. Steak was juice and tender and the ragu sauce was rich with pieces of melt in your mouth short ribs. The highlight of our dinner was probably the conversation we had with the restaurant manager Robert. He was the sweetest and immediately asked us if we were celebrating anything. Once we told him we had recently gotten married he told us stories of his own marriage and gave us words of wisdom. He ended up offering us a complimentary dessert (lilikoi cheesecake, took me a minute to get into but then I couldn't stop eating it). Meeting him and the extra care he took to make our experience that bit more special meant so much to us. We left very full, a little tipsy, and content. We were in Hawaii for 2 weeks and I think this meal was the most memorable of our whole trip. Cant wait to visit again. ”
“ Love the Mai Tai Bar! We had lunch in the afternoon. The keiki chicken fingers are enormous. I could have had both my keiki share. But so delicious. The beach is right behind the bar too so you can roll up for some food after a day at the beach as well. At night time we came back for some mai tais and they were SO good. The service is impeccable. So quick and friendly. It's also really beautiful to hear the waves crash at night from the bar. ”
“ We came here for a drink and stayed for dinner. It's right by the water in the famous Royal Hawaiian hotel. It was a great setting and beautiful hotel. We sat at the bar without having to wait. The bartenders were extremely friendly and responsive. Although we planned to just have a drink, we didn't want to leave and got food too. The portions were solid and the food was tasty! ”
“ Beachfront bar lounge serves great views, drinks and tasty treats. Our party of 4 arrived around 6pm, no reservation, to find a short wait for a table. Originally planned to dine at Dukes next door, but couldn't get a reservation, and found the wait time for walk-ins and noisy atmosphere not a great fit for us. Upon being seated, our waiter did a great job walking us through the specialty drinks and bar menu. We chose a mix of house specials and old favourites. The Hamakua Mushroom Arancini was amazing, as was the Pier 38 Mahi Sandwich. To start we also shared the Crispy Chicken Tenders and Truffle Fries. The truffle fries were outstanding. Compared to Moana Surfrider this beach bar lounge is far superior. Prices were reasonable and service was great. ”
“ We were looking for a good bar and ended up here, didn't realize it would be in the beautiful Royal Hawaiian Hotel! The Pink Palace where even the Christmas tree was pink! Had a great relaxing time at the bar, even caught a glimpse of the dancers at the luau on the other side of the bar. Had to try the Pink Snowball for fun because it's their signature dessert. ”
“ Marriott 'til I die, but The Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian keeps stealing my heart (and my happy hour) every time I'm in Honolulu! The ocean views? Iconic. The drinks? Next level. This time, I indulged in the White Wash--topped with not one, but TWO floats! Bacardi light rum, Ferrand Dry Curacao, orgeat, fresh lime & pineapple juices, a float of Whaler's dark rum, and their signature coco-loco foam. Pure liquid Aloha. only thing better than the view is the service. Cheers to paradise in a glass--can't wait to return! ”
“ Yes, $21 for a MaiTai is spendy bit the price Includes great service, superb view, and Friendly, no-rush stay. Enjoy. ”
“ Head to the Mai Tai Bar! A friend of mine recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Where to begin. Let me start with the gorgeous view of the beach. You can enjoy your food and drinks while you take in the beauty of the beach. Everything about the Mai Tai Bar deserves 5 stars. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Service is on point! We waited in line for 10 minutes maybe less. It's a popular place. You can forgo the line if you want to sit at the bar. The Mai Tai's are refreshing and pack a little punch. It's a great cocktail! They have a nice variety of food and drinks here. We only had a couple of drinks here because we had just ate. You can walk out to the beach from there. We went out and took some selfies while the sun began to set. This is handsdown my favorite place for drinks and will be going back to try more drinks and have some food. ”
“ One of my favorite spots on the entire Waikiki strip! Nothing is a more quintessential touristy experience than sipping on a delicious drink while enjoying the sights and sounds of the wonderful Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead right in front of you. It's located inside the iconic pink Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It's open seating so if you see a table, feel free to seat yourself and someone from their waitstaff will tend to you. Service was pretty attentive but I can see things taking a bit longer during busy hours and you may have to flag someone down. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly though so no complaints there. We ordered the Lava Flow, Pina Colada and some truffle fries to munch on. Note: the drinks were not actually on their most current menu but they're able to make it for you if you ask. Both of our drinks were really good and refreshing, perfect for enjoying a beautiful day at the beach. The truffle fries came perfectly fried and crispy with a generous, heaping portion. While a bit on the pricier side for an appetizer, the portion sizes definitely make up for it. Hands down, Mai Tai Bar is always a must-stop for me each time I'm in Waikiki and is a perfect spot to visit at any time of the day. ”
